Omo-Agege's tissue of lies over alleged abandonment of ljaw land, distasteful, laughable - Aniagwu ~ Truth Reporters

Very clearly strident , and tersely worded to the bargain, Delta State government has described statements credited to immediate past Deputy Senate President, Obarisi James Omo Agege, alleging that the Delta State government , from inception , has abandoned the ljaw speaking areas of Bomadi- and Burutu , as not only distasteful, but laughable

The 18.6 km Bomadi- Gbaregolor road project, as well as the 12.5km.Okontu- Ogulagha reconstruction road projects , in addition to other landmark projects in the Bomadi- and Burutu local government axis, are already ongoing with the desired speed.

This , the Delta State government has also ensured that the Ayakoromo bridge project , which has already received due attention via a Irrevocable Payment regime , is a further demonstration of Governor Oborevwori,s assured desire , to ensure that the Bomadi- , Burutu, as well as Patani axis of the state , inclusive of other Riverine areas in Delta, get the desired attention in democratic dividends deliverables.

Reacting to comments ascribed to the former deputy Senate President, Obarisi Ovie Omo Agege , who alleged,during his visit to Bomadi and Burutu local governments, that the PDP led government of Delta State , has abandoned the area since the inception of democracy, Commissioner for Works in charge of Rural and Riverine roads and Public information , Mr Charles Aniagwu, said the former DSP,s allegations were untrue.

Addressing journalists at the Conference hall of the ministry of information in Asaba , Mr Aniagwu , said it is imperative to address the laughable claims of Omo Agege , who he described as progressing in error.

The Public information Commissioner wondered why a man of Omo Agege,s ranking , having been a Secretary to the Delta State government under the PDP, will condescend so low as attempting to hoodwink some gullible members of the public about infrastructural progress of the party he once belonged to , just for the sake of personal aggrandizement.

Mr Aniagwu who listed legion projects approved by the state government across the South Senatorial district of the state , said there is no iota of truth in Omo Agege,s spurious claims , adding that the Governor will not be distracted but rather , reply critics with more projects that are verifiable and tangible.

Flanked by Executive Assistant to the Governor on media, Mr Felix Ofou, the Commissioner said massive facelift is ongoing not only in Delta South , but also across the three Senatorial districts, urging the former Senate Deputy President to thank Governor Oborevwori , instead of vilifying him, for his MORE agenda progress in the stare.
