Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff pass vote of Confidence on Gov. Oborevwori ~ Truth Reporters

In a strong and unwavering show of support, the Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, a formidable political and socio-cultural group with grassroots structures across the 24 wards of Isoko nation, has passed a vote of Confidence on the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

The group in statement signed by his leadership led by Dr. Frank Ozue, DG, Okugbe Isoko 4 Sheriff ,Chief Anthony Ukpagba, Coordinator, Mr. Kelvin Abighe, Secretary, Hon. Emakpor Odogu, Spokesman and Ambassador Prince Ogologo M, Public Relations Officer after their strategic meeting at Iyede, Isoko North Local Government Area, and other members of the group led by their convener, Chief Kome Okpobor—unequivocally reaffirmed their trust in Governor Oborevwori’s leadership and developmental vision for Delta State.

The Vote of Confidence motion was moved by Chief Fidelis Utomudo Special Political and second by Hon. David Ezede (PDP Chairman, Uzere Ward 4). The resolution was unanimously adopted by all members present, further solidifying the Isoko nation’s commitment to the MORE Agenda and the consolidation of good governance in Delta State. 

 According to them "the overwhelming endorsement stems from the Governor’s unprecedented commitment to the infrastructural, economic, and social transformation of Isoko Nation. The group extensively reviewed the strategic projects initiated, completed, and ongoing under the Oborevwori administration and concluded that the Isoko people are experiencing the dividends of democracy like never before."

"They also highlighted key developmental strides of the MORE Agenda, which have significantly impacted the Isoko people, including the completion of the long-abandoned Emevor-Orogun Road and the immediate commencement of Phase 2, fulfilling the Governor’s promise made during the commissioning of Phase 1. The administration has also fast-tracked the long-delayed Ughelli-Asaba Road Dualisation (Section A), a project initiated over a decade ago but now receiving the urgency and attention it deserves." 

"Other notable projects include the construction and rehabilitation of critical roads such as the Igbide-Olomoro 

road, Otegbo Road (Ellu), Idheze Internal Roads, Enhwe and Okpolo Internal Roads, Enhwe - Uwherhu Road, Iwride-Iyede Internal Roads, and the Dualisation of Oleh Roundabout to Oleh town."

 They added that "in the areas of healthcare and education, the government has invested massively, evident in the construction of the College of Health Technology at Ovrode and the execution of multiple water projects across Isoko communities to improve access to clean water."

The Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff categorically stated that Governor Oborevwori remains the best choice for the continued progress of Delta State, and Isoko Nation will stand firm against any distractions or political blackmail aimed at derailing the administration’s transformational agenda.

The group called on all well-meaning Isoko sons and daughters to remain united, focused, and supportive of the Oborevwori administration, ensuring that the developmental momentum continues beyond 2027.
