Hardship: Rejig your economic policies, PDP Governors' Forum, task FG ~ Truth Reporters

Worried by the unending hardship and pain being encountered by Nigerians owing to the macro economic policies of the Federal Government , the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum , has advocated for a rejigging of the policies

The PDP Governors Forum were also unequivocal, that no meaningful /impactful achievements will be recorded in the states "until the harsh policies are addressed"

These were part of the resolutions, issued via a communique , by the Forum , after it's maiden 2025 meeting hosted by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, at the Government house, Asaba , in the state capital.

The seven ( 7) point communique, commended Governors of member states , for pursuing policies and programmes, that not only ameliorated the plight of their respective people , but we're also aimed at creating the foundation for sustainable development, in spite of the monumental socio economic , infrastructure and security challenges , in the country.

The PDP Governors Forum Communique, while commending the country,s valiant and patriotic armed forces and security agencies for maintaining the front line in securing the country, viewed with great concern, the resurgence of brazen non state actors , and as such called for the strengthening of the nation,s security architecture.

On the crisis currently rocking the Party,s National Working Committee ( NEC) , over the Appeal court verdict on the National Secretary position , the Governor's threw their weight behind the appeal court,s verdict , thereafter urging the party,s NWC , to step up machinery for the full implementation of the Appeal court judgement on the matter.

While expressing gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the government and people of Delta State , for the warm reception and hospitality accorded them , the PDP Governor,s forum urged Nigerians not to despair in the face of the prevailing harsh economic situation , assuring that the PDP is committed to returning Nigerians to the pre- 2015 era of manageable costs of living , security of lives and property , and greater unity and prosperity , for all citizens.

Thirteen Governor's under the umbrella of the PDP Governors Forum , from Bauchi, Bayelsa, Rivers , Delta, Ondo , Zamfara , Oyo , Plateau, Akwa lbom , Enugu , Taraba and Adamawa states , attended the maiden 2025 PDP Governors Forum meeting in Asaba.
