Ehiwarior Savours Oborevwori's THISDAY/ARISE Outstanding Gov's Award ~ Truth Reporters

The Chairman of Ika South Local Government, Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, has described Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as a leader on a mission to leave a lasting legacy of service and enduring development in the state.

The Chairman made the remark in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Jonathan Onwuka, in Agbor, to celebrate the governor on the award given to him by the ARISE/THISDAY group, in Lagos, yesterday.

Ehiwarior said he was not in any way surprised by the recognition and award as 'Best Performing Governor in Nigeria' by the highly rated media organization, because Governor Oborevwori had, in less than two years in office, achieved much in both human and capital development.

He lauded the governor for the many completed and ongoing people- focused quality  projects across the state, which, he observed,  had placed Delta State the best among its peers in terms of  comprehensive infrastructure development.

Ehiwarior added, "Our dear governor has done tremendously well. Infact, he has made Deltans  proud with his accomplishments in less than two years on the saddle. And this award, I must emphasise, is a glaring testimony to His Excellency's penchant and calculated disposition to good governance and prudent management of the state's resources.

" I believe that this gesture by the ARISE/THISDAY group will spur our dear governor in his avowed commitment to deliver more dividends of democracy and continue to uphold the concept of good  governance for which his administration has been known.

"I hereby join the good people of Delta State, and well wishers to congratulate our amiable and indefatigable Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on this well deserved recognition and award.

"I, therefore, use this opportunity to pray that God will continue to guide and give him more wisdom as he provides quality service to the people of Delta State."
