*Delta 2027: 'Contesting against Oborevwori, waste of time, resources' - Oyibode* ~ Truth Reporters

The 2027 Delta State elections are shaping up to be intriguing, with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's rising popularity. It appears that other senatorial districts may not support any other Urhobo candidate apart from Oborevwori, which could be a significant advantage for him.

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogjeneruemu Oyibode (JP) has advised aspirants from Delta Central Senatorial District to withdraw their governorship bids. He cited the rotational arrangement among Delta State's senatorial districts, which suggests that Delta South and North should be next in line for the governorship in 2031 and 2039 respectively.

Oyibode recently praised Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori's performance at an award ceremony organized by the Udu and Ughievwen Peoples' Association in Abraka. He noted that Oborevwori is successfully implementing his administration's MORE agenda, with tangible projects across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

Oyibode's statement suggests that other senatorial districts in Delta State are waiting for their turn to produce the governor, implying a rotational arrangement. This means that if another candidate from Delta Central Senatorial District, apart from Oborevwori, were to emerge, it would be counterproductive to the established order.

It's worth noting that Governor Oborevwori has been making efforts to develop the state, with projects and initiatives impacting various senatorial districts.
