YULETIDE: Obiodeh celebrates Igbide women groups, others with generous gifts ~ Truth Reporters
Delta State Commissioner for Lands, Surveys and Urban Development, Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, has put smiles on the faces of Igbide in Isoko South Local Government Area, in a heartwarming gesture of community spirit and generosity this festive season.
In celebration of Christmas, Obiodeh extended his benevolence to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members, various women groups, and other residents of the community by donating two cows, bags of rice, colorful wrappers, and cash gifts.
The event, which took place at his residence in Igbide, was marked by excitement and gratitude as beneficiaries gathered to receive the gifts.
Speaking at the occasion, Obiodeh explained that his actions were driven by Governor Oborevwori’s directive to political appointees to reach out to their people to share the joy of Christmas and support families during the season
He thanked the people for their continued support to the party and the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, adding that more good tidings await the people from the state government.
The Commissioner at the occasion urged the people to continue to live in peace and unity, adding that only a peaceful community enjoys development.
“Christmas is a time for love, sharing, and reflection, and I believe in giving back to my people and ensuring that no one is left out of the celebrations.
"This little gesture is my way of showing appreciation for the support I have received from my community over the years.”
Chairman Isoko South Local Government Council, Comrade Warri Ovoke Friday lauded Obiodeh for reaching out to the people in the yuletide.
Also speaking, Chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Isoko South Chapter, Mr. Victor Ekelega thanked Commissioner Obiodeh for the gesture and urged the people to continue supporting the party and the Oborevwori administration.
He commended Obiodeh’s unwavering commitment to the party and the community, stating that leadership is about touching lives and building a sense of togetherness.
The donated cows and rice were distributed among the PDP members and women groups to ensure that families could enjoy hearty meals during the festivities.
The wrappers, a gift cherished by women, brought smiles to many faces, while the cash gifts provided additional support to families in need.
Local leaders and beneficiaries praised Obiodeh’s generosity, describing him as a pillar of the community whose actions exemplified the spirit of unity and goodwill.
