Okekpolo bags US varsity doctorate degree in leadership ~ Truth Reporters








Amb. Mrs Ogochukwu Okekpolo, Executive Director of Bicens Resources Limited bagged the prestigious Highstone Global University Texas, United State of America (USA) doctorate degree in Leadership and Strategic Management and Sustainable Development Award.


The award was presented to her during a ceremony held in Asaba, Delta State Nigeria. 


The Vice Chancellor (Africa), Prof. Valentine Iheukwumere highlighted the rise of foreign universities in Nigeria as indicative of the nation’s educational challenges and an opportunity to address systemic shortcomings.


He made this statement during the 2024 International Conference, Special Convocation, Awards Ceremony , and Conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degree in Asaba, Delta State, themed “Trailblazers of Change: Celebrating Visionaries of Progress and Human Development.” Other Keynote speakers are the President of Highstone Global University Texas, US, Prof. Maurice Odiete, Prof. Jasper Ikpesu, Assistant director of the Petroleum Training Institute among others.


During the ceremony, when Amb. Mrs Ogochuku Okekpolo was officially awarded Sustainable Development Award; the school commended her exceptional character and recognized her outstanding accomplishments and substantial contributions to her field. This prestigious accolade stands as a testament to her excellence as a prominent executive and her contributions to advancing sustainable practices, and initiatives throughout her esteemed career. Amongs others who were honored with the award and doctorate degree are Dr. Lon Wesley Mahan, Captain.Dr. Warredi Enisuoh,Dr. Morris Idiovwa,Engr. Dr. Micheal Okaekwu, Prince. Dr. Mudiaga Eruophe and Dr. Eugenia Ogechi Avwunidiogba


Amb. Dr. Mrs Ogochuku Okekpolo is the Executive Director of Bicens resources Limited and Pioneer Director of the International Forum for Women In Energy, Oil and Gas, Delta State Chapter. She studied Accounting and Finance from Delta State University, Abraka and attended leadership courses at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos and International Business Management Institute, Berlin.


She’s a Philanthropist, founder of mentorship programs like De Apex Squad and Alphe, targeting young women and undergraduates to nurture future leaders. She has also engaged in activities to empower women, youth and underprivileged communities. She was honoured recently as United Nations Eminent Ambassador for her peace building and reconciliation efforts.
