All courses in Delta Poly, Ogwashi-Uku, fully accredited, affirms Prof Achuenu ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi Uku, in Aniocha South, has blazed the trail in academic excellence, culminating in the full accreditation of all courses in the institution by the National Board for Technical Education ( NABTEB).

Consequently , the institution has also employed the "one certificate, two skills" technique, in order to ensure its graduates have an edge in self sustenance in the complex unemployment web.

In addition also , DSPG has made inroads in blazing the trail towards sustained academic excellence in line with global emerging trends.

These attributes, clearly enunciated , formed part of the score card of Builder Professor Emmanuel Achuenu, Rector of the bludgeoning skill and technical oriented polytechnic, while fielding questions at the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) Delta,s 17th version of the media hangout, "from parley to party", at the press centre Asaba.

According to the DSPG helmsman, the institution under his watch has been able to utilize internally generated revenue (lGR) , in constructing and completing critical infrastructure , such as the 375 capacity lecture hall, complete with anciliary facilities.

The DSPG Rector also stated that , among others, the state of art lSLT Complex , is a marvel of intricate concern ,such that it has become an envy of academic pursuits.

Bldr Professor Achuenu also mentioned the perimeter fencing funded by the Tertiary Education Fund ( TERTFUND), the tarring of the internal roads courtesy of the Delta State government, and the SMART campus city which has capacity to avail management of security and aesthetic challenges, as part of ongoing reforms, to ensure a full fledged campus wort it's salt.

Said Achuenu:" Under our watch, the polytechnic has enjoyed peace . There is evidence of tranquility in Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi Uku. In the area of development, l am proud to say that the School of Environmental Sciences complex is almost completed. The library complex is a beauty to behold . The polytechnic radio station has been approved by the National Communication Commission ( NCC). As we speak, we have gotten to a stage where we have our SMART city , a novel idea where we are relying on artificial intelligence for gathering information".

The Delta State Polytechnic , Ogwashi Uku , Rector , also disclosed the desire of the institution to step up human capital development in the area of training and retraining of staff , in addition to securing funding for programmes of the polytechnic.

Earlier, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State council, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, lauded the Rector of Delta State polytechnic, Ogwashi Uku, Bldr Prof Emmanuel Achuenu, for his humility in dissecting his institutions strides.
