Burial Arrangement Of IDU President General's Late Mother Released ~ Truth Reporters

The burial arrangement for the mother of Prof Chris Akpotu, President General of Isoko Development Union (IDU) Late Mrs. Akpotu Eniwejo Sophy has been released. 

According to a press statement signed by the first son of the deceased, Prof Chris Akpotu on behalf of the children and Pastor Aki Elisha for the family, the burial activities will commence on Thursday 21st November, 2024, with a Service of Songs at the Akpotu’s Compound, Etevie Street, Ofagbe by 4pm.

On Saturday, 23rd November, 2024, the corpse will leave Ozoro General Hospital Mortuary by 8am to her father’s compound at Orogun Street, Ofagbe and thereafter to her husband’s compound for a brief stop over. By 10am, there shall be a funeral service at the St. John’s Anglican Church, Ofagbe to be followed by interment at 12noon.

The statement stated further that entertainment of guests will take place at the Ofagbe Technical College Field, Ofagbe beginning from 12:30pm. In addition, the following day, Sunday, 24th November, 2024 will feature the outing/ thanksgiving service at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ofagbe by 9am.

The Late Mrs. Akpotu (nee Aki) who passed on recently at 80 was a devout Christian and Community Leader of repute. She is survived by children and many relations including Prof Chris Akpotu, the President General of the IDU who is also a lecturer at the Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State.
