Ndokwa/Ukwuani people are pleased with my representation, says Nnamdi Ezechi ~ Truth Reporters

The member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency , at the House of Representatives ( HOR), Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, has affirmed that his constituents are pleased  with his style of representation so far.

The Federal lawmaker also added that without sounding immodest , he is one of the very few federal legislators whose bill has scaled through first, second and third reading stages.

Ezechi stated this on Sunday, September 29, 2023, during the NUJ Delta State Council Journalists hangout, at the Press centre , Maryam Babangida Way, Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The Ndokwa/ Ukwuani federal lawmaker said the legal backing given to the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, the first federal tertiary institution in Ndokwa land, did not come to fruition without his imprints in the process.

Ezechi however lamented that one of the greatest constraints impeding speedy development in the nation, is implementation of laws which have been passed by successive legislative houses at the federal level , adding that there is too much of constitutional amendments without implementation.

The Federal lawmaker listed several projects that will soon see the light of day such as the additional 480 mw Okpai lndependent Power Project which will jerk up the gas fired electricity facility's capacity to 960mw.

He disclosed that the Kwale industrial park project initiated by the immediate past administration of Senator Dr lfeanyi Okowa , has not been abandoned, disclosing that work on the site is in progress .

On the issue of insecurity , Hon Nnamdi Ezechi said he is in full support of the Community Policing  initiative being proposed by various state governments, adding that if fully operational , will stem the ugly menace of farmers/herders clashes , thus boosting food production which has drastically taken a nose dive, owing to the fear of farmers entering their farms.

Hon Ezechi regarded himself as lucky to have the first ever Ndokwa son in the person of Sir Monday Onyeme, as Deputy Governor, during his term in office as a federal lawmaker.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the Delta State Council of NUJ, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, had told the visiting Ezechi that the Journalists hangout, the tenth in the series, is designed to rub minds with critical stakeholders and bridge communication gap between them and the public, as watchdogs of society.
