Breaking: Delta wins 8th National Youth Games with overall 111 medals haul ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State garnered 46 gold, 31  silver , and 34 bronze medals , respectively , to stamp their authority on the youth games , and vindicate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori,s remarks during the opening ceremony, that the State is synonymous with sports .

At the close of the 8th National Youth Games hosted by Delta State , 111 medals in all , saw the back to back winners  of the games, emerging emphatic winners

Lagos State placed a distant second with 26 gold , 20 silver , and 19 bronze medals, to beat Edo State to third position. Edo had 18 gold , 13 silver and 28 bronze medals

Only Ebonyi State participated in the NYG without a medal to her credit

The 2025 edition of the games will be hosted once again , by perpetual winners, Delta State
