 In line with the resolve of the Govwrnor Sheriff Oborevwori administration , to enthrone an aesthetically friendly state capital territory , the Okpanam to Asaba stretch of the Benin Onitsha highway , will soon be rid of shanties

In addition also, all extanct rules guiding the Delta Task Force on Environment,s setting up, willl be fully implemented , to the letter

These assurances formed part of the fulcrum of Hon Godspower Asiuwhu, the Special Task Force helmsman, on environment , at an exclusive "parley to party " media interaction , with journalists at the NUJ Press Centre, Asaba

According to the Special Task Force on Environment Chairman, notices from the Asaba Capital Territory Decelopment Agency, and his office , have been sent to the requisite offenders from the Okpanam Custom axis, to the Bridge head axis

Asiuwhu was resolute, that the environment task force under his watch, willl do all that is nexessary , to ensure that the State capital territory , particularly, and the entire State , in general, wears a befitting environmentally friendly look

The State Environmental Task Force Chairman, stated categorically , that the operations of his task force was not in any way intended to witchunt the operations of keke riders, but to ensure strict compliance with the rules and regulations guiding the keke riders in terms of revenue and adherence

Earlier ,the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, thanked Chief Asiuwhu, a former Environment Commissioner in the immediate past administration of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for blazing the trail in deeming it fit to avail journalists of the workings of his office

This, Comrade Oyowe stated, is a catalyst for bridging the gap in information dissemination , the hallmark of feedback between government and the governed
