8th National Youth Games, Asaba 2024: Ogba Heads LOC ~ Truth Reporters

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of a Seven (7) member Local Organizing Committee (.LOC), to oversee the 8th National Youth Games , scheduled for 10th to 20th  September , in Asaba, the Delta State Capital.

According to a Press release endorsed by the Director of Public Relations ( DIPR) , of the Delta State Sports Commission, Okonma Franka,  Chief Solomon Ogba, the Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee ( NOC) and one time President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria ( AFN), will serve as Chairman , while Chief Tonobok Okowa, the current AFN President , will serve as member

Other members include Chief Chinoye Daphey Aliu, Victor Onogagamue, Onoriode Oborevwori , and Harrison Ocholor

Mr Festus Ohwojero, the Delta Sports Commission Director of Sports, will, according to the statement, serve as member and Secretary

The statement adds that though the mandate of the Chief Solomon Ogba led LOC , is to oversee the successful hosting of the games, the Committee is also saddled with the responsibility of  hosting the Technical joint meeting ( JTM) for the games , between the 18th and 20th August2024.
