Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori , has affirmed that he has kept faith with his administration,s MORE agenda promises
The highly elated Governor said , in spite of challenges , he is focused and primed , to ensure that Delta gets her fair share of democratic dividends , under his watch
Speaking during the praise and worship day , to mark his administration,s one year in office at the Dome Events centre , Asaba, Governor Oborevwori told Deltans to expect more from his administration .
The Governor said he has managed efficiently , the administration of the state , adding that the challenges within the one year under review were stepping stones to a greater Delta
Oborevwori who listed projects his administration has embarked on across the three senatorial districts to include the brand new School of Health Technology at Ovade in lsoko north , the approval of the new DELSU faculty of Management Sciences at Orerokpe in Okpe local government, the ongoing flyover and clover leaf projects by construction giant , Julius Berger , at the Warri and Effurun axis of the state were deliberate measures to kickstart economic activities and bring back the fading glory of warri as the commercial nerve centre of Delta
Said Gov Oborevwori : " l have kept faith with Deltans. The fair and objective way you can judge politicians is by assessing their electoral campaign manifestoes"
Also recalling his electioneering promises , the Governor said his administration paid backlogs of arrears to Public servants in the region of over #5 billion , as well as securing #40 billion to secure payment of local government pensioners
Governor Oborevwori therefore assured Deltans that with their support and prayers , his administration will continue to impact on Deltans as articulated in his promises before , during , and after the elections that ensured his emergence as Delta State Governor
The praise and worship event paraded a galaxy of gospel artistes and mass choir renditions , such as Mercy Chinwo , Frank Edwards , Tisio Tisio , among others
