Aniocha South belongs to God not man, declares PDP Chairmanship aspirant Bishop Ilomechine ~ Truth Reporters

As he declared his intention to run for the office of Executive Chairman of Aniocha South local government council under the platform of the People's Democratic Party ,(PDP), Bishop David Brian Ilomechine, has affirmed that God, not man, owns the local government 


 He also unequivocally debunked rumours making the rounds , that he is being fronted for the position he is seeking by the former Commissioner for Technical Education, Hon Joan Onyemaechi, describing such rumours as unfounded


He therefore stated that he is not a puppet to be pushed around due to his "status, personality , and ordination"


Addressing a mammoth crowd at the Aniocha South PDP headquarters , in Ogwashi uku, the headquarters of the area, Bishop llomechine, a Management and lnformation System degree holder from Covenant University , Otta, Ogun State, and PhD holder from San Diego University , USA, bemoaned the dearth of infrastructure and all round development in Aniocha south , assuring that if voted for , he will change the narrative by reaching out to relevant authorities at the State level


While pledging to run an all inclusive administration where accountability and seamless synergy with elected Councilors , leaders and stakeholders will be his watchword , the 36 year old Chairmanship hopeful from Ashama kingdom said there will be a paradigm shift in local government administration , under his watch


Describing sustainable infrastructure , especially good , motorable and accessible roads , as the live wire of any area, the Aniocha South Chairmanship aspirant pledged to kickstart an educational revolution through a monitoring strategy that will ensure that , not only primary school teachers are engaged, but also will be encouraged to reside where they are posted to


On Health care, Bishop llomechine said if voted as Council Chairman, health centres will not only be renovated and revitalized with basic health items including drugs, but will be made accessible to all communities in the local government area


 On human development and empowerment , the Chairmanship hopeful announced the establishment of a Human Development Centre, to groom potentials in various skills , thus creating employment opportunities in the value chain


He further pledged to strenghten safety and security measures to protect the people in order to boost economic and social activities in both the farmlands and market places in Aniocha South


While responding , the local government Caretaker Committee Chairman, Prince Mike Okwufulueze, commended Bishop Ilomechine for his capacity as an employer of labour and ordained clergy


Okwufulueze , while stating that all aspirants will be guaranteed a level playing field , urged them to support whoever emerges at the end of the day as the party Chairmanship Candidate , stating that power belongs to God


Present at the declaration ceremony were party leaders, ward Chairmen , women and youth leaders , including former House of Assembly member representing the constituency, Hon Austin Chikezie, Executive Director , lCT , Board of lnternal Revenue , Collins lwebunor , Chief George Okafor and Emma Okafor , among others
