Why i returned to PDP - Ndukwe ~ Truth Reporters
A one time Chairman of Oshimili North local government and All Progressives Congress ( APC) House of Assembly candidate in the March 2023 elections for Oshimili North, Hon Louis Ogugua Ndukwe, has said his defection to the People's Democratic Party ( PDP) in the area is in line with his fundamental right of association as enshrined in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria
Speaking to newsmen on the heels of his defection to the PDP from the APC recently , the former Council Boss and DTHA candidate of the APC said section 40 of the 1999 constitution guarantees every individual, including himself and his teeming supporters , the right to associate with any group that meets their expectations for an egalitarian society
Ndukwe , who described himself as a completely loyal person who sticks with whoever he supports based on the convictions on ground , thanked the PDP for the warm welcome and open arms extended to him and his supporters , while pledging to contribute his own quota to ensure the party ( PDP), is strenghtened within and without Oshimili North
Said the returning former Council Boss " To my teaming supporters, those who returned with me and those who refused to come with me ab initio, l say a big thank you for their undiluted love, believe and trust in my leadership. I guarantee them that all is set for a robust outing under the leadership of Senator Okowa in Delta North and in the Governor of the state generally ''
On his assessment of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon Louis Ndukwe said " Honestly, the Governor has set out on a strong base and the spring is a promising one for Deltans".
Ndukwe therefore assured his teeming supporters , friends and we'll wishers of all inclusion as they join the PDP, adding that , in all ramifications , the Party is a better political family to belong to as it is garbed with the principle of "political plus plus ( PPP) which will better serve their interests
Those who witnessed the mass defection ceremony included Governor Oborevwori, represented by his Senior Political Adviser, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo , immediate past Governor , Senator Dr lfeanyi Okowa, PDP Delta North Vice Chairman , elder Moses lduh, the Member representing Oshimili North in the house of Assembly , Hon Frank Esenwa, the Local government party Chairman , Chief Nduka Ogude , Commissioner for women affairs, Community and social development , Hon Pat Ajudua, among others
