Delta Poly Ogwashi-Uku matriculates 2,567 students ~ Truth Reporters






...As Rector urges students to join hands in placing DSPG on world map

The 2,567 matriculants of the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi uku ( DSPG), in Aniocha North local government area under the 2023/2024 academic session have been admonished to join hands with the staff and management to place the institution on the global stage of academic excellence





According to the Rector of the institution, Bldr Professor Emmanuel Achuenu while formally declaring the matriculants bonafide students of DSPG, while they are being trained to define their future, creativity for development should be their watchword






Professor Achuenu who described the event as "solemn", viewed against the backdrop that the ultimate goal of any matriculating student is to graduate and become useful and self sufficient , said the Polytechnic is making inroads as a foremost citadel of character and learning among it's peers in not only the South South geo political zone of the country , but across the nation as evidenced in it's technological and sports breakthroughs , among others .


While thanking the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led administration , stakeholders and the institution,s management team as well as dedicated staff , for their consistency and support towards moving DSPG to Olympian heights, Rector Achuenu tasked the matriculants to ensure that their educational pursuit is not taken for granted


He advised them to use it to develop their minds towards a good understanding of the dynamics of the society


Said the Delta State Polytechnic , Ogwashi uku Rector: "All students must ensure that they work with the institution,s motto which is CREATIVITY FOR DEVELOPMENT. It is expected that after your training , you must be an asset and not a liability . All these can be achieved by attending your lectures and participating in your practicals , continuous assessments, and finally , examinations ".


The DSPG Rector therefore tasked the matriculants on good conduct in the course of their academic sojourn in the institution, admonishing them to always obey the rules and regulations of the institution while shunning negative vices like cultism , examination malpractices , stealing , fighting and destruction of school or individual properties, using the school handbook as their guide


Highpoints of the 22nd  matriculation ceremony which was attended by the top management ,Deans and HODs as well as the State Coordinator of JAMB, Mrs Okolie , was the administration of the respective matriculation oaths on the matriculants by DSPG,s Registrar , Mr Jude Okocha
