2024 Builders' Day: Achuenu tasks builders on strict adherence to standards ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi uku , Rector , Professor Builder Emmanuel Achuenu, has harped on the need for standards to be met in the building of structures across board.

Professor Builder Achuenu, gave the tersely worded advice at the Delta State Chapter of the 2024 version of the Nigeria Builders Day in Professor Chike Edozien Secretariat Asaba.

Speaking on the theme "The Role of Builders in Sustainable Housing Delivery", the highly revered building icon emphasized on the need for standard qualities to be met, before, during, and, after , the commencement , of building structures

According to Achuenu, the need for proper scrutiny of Bill of Quantities ( BOQ) and strict adherence to the rule of building engagements, has become imperative, so as not to jeopardize the sanctity of the building plan

According to the keynote speaker , the ever evolving dynamics of building plan occasioned with sharp practices, should be jettisoned, in line with the fundamentals that the foundation of any structure , if not properly defined, could cause consequential damages with effects that could exacerbate turmoil

The Builders day in Delta, focused on the need to ensure strict compliance to best global practice, with a resolve to do the rightful in building

Present at the 2024 Builders day celebration , were the Commissioner for Housing , Hon Godknows Angele, represented by the ministry's Director of Public Buildings,   Architect Pius Amromanoh, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Nigeria lnstitute of Building , Delta State Chapter , Bldrs Samuel Omiyi and Roy Ononye, respectively , and stakeholders in the building value chain, among others
