Oborevwori's Private Partnership Initiative With M.O.R.E Agenda Yielding Result - Odogu ~ Truth Reporters

The Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta State on Community Development Hon. Emakpor Odogu has stated that the governor of Delta State His Excellency Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori Private Partnership Initiative Engagement has started yielding result.



He made this known in a joint interview Programme anchored by Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS): MORNING RIDE monitor by our correspondent Hon. Emakpor Odogu, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development and Chief Barr. (Mrs) Roseline Uwubuti the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development harped on the need for Private/Public Partnership Initiative Engagement, employing their resources to develop the communities.


"The Governor's Private Partnership Engagement, initiated by His Excellency, has yielded positive results, as major individual business owners, captain of Industries, within and diaspora have shown interest in partnering with the state government in building a sustainable business environment for quality and speedy Community Development projects delivery".


Hon. Emakpor Odogu, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, disclosed that one of such philanthropists, Mr John Ogadinma Agamu, an Atlanta based business guru, Chairman of Frankbryan Group of Companies, USA, who doubles as the CEO, Frankbryan Leisure & Resorts Ltd., Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State, whose local content staff engagement is over 80% of people from Ogwashi-Uku. Mr Agamu is already partnering with the government in various Community Development projects. 


He noted that the business mogul, a native of Ogwashi-Uku, amongst many other philanthropist gestures, had embarked on the construction/Grading of a 8.5km Roads  in the Ogwashi-Uku axis of the State. With a proposed renovation of some Government Schools in the same Ogwashi-Uku within the first quarter of this year. 


 He stated that his decision to partner with the Delta State Government with his resources is to expand the developmental programmes for his own state and to alleviate the sufferings of Deltans.


According to him The Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Development Chief Anthony Ofoni recently sent a team of Community Development Appointees led by Emakpor Odogu (Executive Assistant), Barr(Mrs) Roseline Uwubuti (SSA), Engr. Emmanuel Morman (SSA), Mr. Onochie Israel Esikabulu (SSA), Comrade Roy Ummuna (SSA) and Mr. Dafe Elliott (SA) to inspect the extent of work done on the Ogwashi-Uku road and to also communicate the appreciation message of the state Government to Mr John Ogadinma Agamu on this giant stride gestures.


 He noted that the Special Adviser also called on other well meaning Deltans to emulate this partnership initiatives of the Government, in delivering good community development projects in tune with the M.O.R.E. Agenda.


He said that the business mogul Mr Agamu is in partnering with the Delta State Government, he is very optimistic that the much needed rural transformation is assured and will inturn make Delta State a hub for business growth, sustainable development, where peace and security shall be established.


 He further said that in achieving the much desired Developmental Projects, Government shouldn't be our main focus alone for viable projects, as individuals can utilize this opportunity of Private Partnership Engagement to partner with the government on community development. 


Hon Emakpor Odogu who appreciated His Excellency for this initiative, called on other Business Executives who have the growth of Delta State at heart, to step up their games in supporting the M.O.R.E. Agenda in developing our Communities.
