Oborevwori’s aide, Egwerome gives financial assistance to 52 Isoko North students ~ Truth Reporters

Special Assistant on Youth Development to Delta State Governor, Engr. Kingsley Egwerome, gave out financial assistance to 52 brilliant students in Isoko North Local Government Area of the State.






Making the presentations last Thursday and Friday at the schools of the recipients, Egwerome said the gesture was to reward diligence, hardwork, saying, “it will further spur the worthy students towards attaining academic excellence.”


Egwerome, an engineer from Erawha-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area, congratulated the worthy recipients of his maiden financial assistance scheme which he promised, would be done annually.






He encouraged the students to be good ambassadors of their parents and communities, and charged them to continually put to practice the maxim that to who much was given much was also expected.


Engr Egwerome revealed that the gesture was designed complement the efforts of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon Jonathan Ukodhiko.


At the some of the schools visited in the 13Wards of Isoko North, the Delta Governor’s aide realised that the female students did much better than their male-counterparts in the last academic terms.


Egwerome, therefore, called on the male-students to do better in the present term in order to get more rewards like the financial assistance being given, while promising to do more for other classes of the schools.


A total of 52 students benefited from the maiden ‘Kingsley Egwerome Financial Assistance Scheme’, out of which 44 were physically present during the presentations. 


The students, currently in their JSS-1 and SSS-1 classes took first and second positions in the last academic term last year 2023, and went home with various sums; Eight thousand naira for first positions and, seven thousand for those who took Second positions.


The recipients were of Iyede Commercial high school, Iyede, Atebo Commercial High School, Ekigbo-Iyede, Emevor Mixed Secondary school, Otor-Owhe Grammar School, Otor-Owhe, Akiewhe Secondary School, Akiewhe, Otibio Grammar School, Otor-Igho.


Others were Government Secondary School, Owhelogbo, Alaka Grammar School, Ozoro, Igbonine Secondary Schoo, Ozoro, Emo-Eni Secondary School, Ellu, Aradhe Grammar School, Aradhe, Ovrode Grammar School, Ovrode amongst others.


The principals of the various public secondary schools of the recipients also got token from the Special Assistant on Youth Development to the Governor, Engr Kingsley Egwerome.
