Clean environment, precursor to healthy living - Oromoni ~ Truth Reporters
The Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Environment, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, says a clean environment is a precursor to a healthy living.
Speaking to newsmen on Friday, Hon Oromoni in an elated spirit expressed gratitude to God for bringing him, family and the good people of Delta state into the new year.
He admonished Deltans to rally support for his Excellency for a seamless implementation of the MORE Agenda captured in the 2024 “budget of hope”
Hon Oromoni emphasized, Deltans made a very sound choice in the person of His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, who he describes as a man of vision, unbroken focus, integrity, commitment and determination.
"Governor Sheriff is a big blessing to Deltans, we all need to join hands together to support his good intentions for Deltans.
"The truth is, everyone of us have a role to play in delivering the MORE Agenda, which means that we must first begin at home by keeping our immediate environment clean by extension maintaining and preserving the environment within our corporate and industrial space.
"A clean environment is a precursor to healthy living, which is the bedrock of all developments. I am using this medium to call on SMEs and other business owners operating at industrial scales across the state, to help preserve the environment from degradation by always applying the recommendations of the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management systems recommendation to prevent biodiversity loss, control carbon emissions, reduce water use, and increase energy efficiency, waste generation control, proper disposal, reusability Initiatives, and possible reduction of waste and preservation of the ecosystem.
"In this new year, we should imbibe a clean environment culture at all levels. The Governor envisions a clean Delta, therefore all forms of indiscriminate disposal of waste negates His Excellency’s MORE Agenda.
"I want to encourage Deltans to give their sincere support to the Governor, for him to actualize his More Agenda effectively and efficiently in the interest of all.
"I am particularly grateful to His Excellency, for finding me worthy to serve Deltans in his administration. This for me is a call to duty, and by the grace of God, I will ensure that I put in my best to render all the necessary support needed to actualize His Excellency’s MORE Agenda.
"May I use this privileged opportunity to wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year," Oromoni stated.
