Explorers celebrate 3rd annual day at Ambrose Alli University ~ Truth Reporters

The Explorers Innovative Initiative, Class 2004 of Department of Physics, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has held their 3rd annual Explorers day on the December 7, 2023.

Speaking at the event, The President of the Initiative, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete encourages the students to be hardworking, improve in their academic pursuit, uphold the integrity of the institution and remember to give back to the school after their graduation. He appreciated Prof. Omi Ujuanbi who has been the anchor to the success of Explorer's Day from inception.

He also acknowledged the transformative and  leadership style of both the Dean of Physical science Prof C.E. Abhulimen and HOD of Department of Physics Dr. S. Ehika.

The Special Guest of Honour, Prof. C.E. Abhulimen thanked the president and members of the initiative for giving back to their alma mata and Hope that other alumni will remember their department.

Other keynote speakers were Prof. Omi Ujuanbi,  Dr. S. Ehika and Dr. S. O. Salufu.

The President of the initiative, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete and Professor C.E. Abhulimen presented an award of excellence to Dr. R.O. Okanigbuan who was elevated to an associate Professor. 

Exploration Geophysics textbooks were donated to the department and cash prizes given to six students, Best students of Geophysics & Physics including 400, 300 & 200Level, the students who received the cash prizes are Mr. Michael Bulu, Mr. Onos Akoko, Ms Miracle Abode, Ms Blessing Adejube, Mr. Godspower Oriakhi and Mr. Babatunde Bakare.
