Abavo clan union Asaba branch gets new Exco ~ Truth Reporters






Abavo Clan Union, Asaba Branch has elected a new executive to run the affairs of the Union for the next three years.


They are, Pastor Ifeanyi Agbeyeke, Chairman, Dr. Samuel Ugbo, Vice Chairman, Mr. Sunny Okoh, Secretary, Mr. Ejime Udueme, Assistant Secretary and Mr Kenneth Okorome, Financial Secretary.


Others include, Mr. Ferdinand Abanjo, Treasurer, Mr Ewere Mono-Osayande,Public Relations Officer, while Mr. German Ngbogba, Chuks Amayo and Shedrack Onyemarin will serve as Provosts.


The Chairman of the Electoral body that midwifed the election Mr. Teddy Agbeyeke who declared the election results, after the keen contest, congratulated the new executive on their victory and challenged them to put the interest of the Union and Abavo Town, above self.


In a post-election speech, the new Chairman, Pastor Ifeanyi Agbeyeke, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Civil Service, described the new assignment as a call to service and sued for the maximum cooperation of all, in bringing the desired development to Abavo Town.


Mr. Agbeyeke, who was a two time member of the Civil Service Commission,  thanked members of the Union for finding him and his executive worthy to serve, promising to bring the needed transformation to both the Union and Abavo Community.


He commended the State Government and other stakeholders for addressing the electricity challenge in Abavo and called on all sons and daughters of the town at home and in diaspora to champion human capital and infrastructural development of their community.


Highlight of the event was the inauguration of the new executive.
