Akpodiete congratulates Oborevwori on Appeal Court victory ~ Truth Reporters
A former House of Representatives Aspirant and Delta State Coordinator of Atikulated Global Movement, Hon. Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete JP, has expressed its hearty congratulations to the State Governor and leader of the party in the State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his well-deserved Appeal Court victory.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, Akpodiete said; “The appeal court verdict is very well deserved and a confirmation of the legality of Governor Oborevwori’s victory at the governorship election and demonstration that Deltans overwhelmingly voted for the PDP and Oborevwori during the elections.
"...... Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has been vindicated as the Executive Governor of Delta State in a free, credible, and fair political atmosphere. He convincingly won 21 out of the 25 Local Government Area thus placing Agege imbalance by defeating him squarely. He is politically bred and noctured to take Delta State to another positive phase", he stated.
Akpodiete applaud the judiciary once again for their learned, articulate and well-delivered judgement, which is a further affirmation that the PDP overwhelmingly won the 2023 Delta State Governorship election and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is undoubtedly, the duly elected Governor of Delta State.
"For the avoidance of doubt, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who has indeed, started so well and exhibited impressive governance and excellent leadership skills since assuming office, is greatly buoyed now to continue the fine work of delivering the dividends of Democracy to our people” He further expressed his admiration for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s dedication to public service and his commitment to the betterment of the state.
“I am therefore using this opportunity to call on all Deltans, especially our brothers in the other parties to join hands with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to build and develop a virile state where every person is treated and accorded due dignity.”
