Oborevwori prioritising educational devt in Delta - Iteire ~ Truth Reporters
Chairman Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. Christian Iteire has extolled Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for prioritising educational development of the state.
Iteire stated this yesterday in his welcome remark at the inauguration of multiple projects at the Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro.
The projects inaugurated include Administrative building; Vice-Chancellor's Lodge; Staff School building; University Guest House/squash court, and 2km of interlock/concrete road in the University.
The Council boss commended Gov. Oborevwori for prioritising the completion of the laudable projects despite competing demands for limited resources adding that the deluge of projects inaugurated in his first 100 days in office was a clear testament to the fact that he was the man for for the job with unsual energy to deliver.
He said: "It is with great pleasure that I on behalf of the good people of Isoko North Local Government Area welcome, Your Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State and your entourage to this momentous occasion.
"The inauguration of these projects today, is coming shortly after the inauguration of similar projects at the Dennis Osadebay University Anwai-Asaba.
"This further underscores your unwavering commitment not only to develop the institutions to enviable citadel of learning, but also to deliver on the M.O.R.E Agenda of your administration.
"Your Excellency, the story of the birth of the Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro cannot be fully told without mentioning your contribution.
"As the then Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, you mobilized your colleagues to approve the conversion of the then Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro to the university it is today and as Governor, you are relentlessly pursuing its development with amazing vigour".
He assured the Governor that the Council would do everything within its powers and resources to complement the efforts of the Oborevwori administration geared towards the actualisation of the M.O.R.E Agenda.
The State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Kingsley Esiso, Member Representing Isoko Federal Constituency Engr Jonathan Ukodhiko, members of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Bernard Odior, Hon. Ferguson Onwo and Hon Bino Obowomano, Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Prince Johnson Erijo; Chairman Isoko North PDP, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, traditional rulers, top government functionaries and the students community witnessed the ceremony.
