Council Boss Inaugurates Ughelli South LGA Palliative Committee ~ Truth Reporters

The Chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council, Hon (Dr) Richard Kofi has inaugurated the  LGA's Subsidy Palliative Distribution Monitoring Team with Rev Fr (Dr) Christopher Ekabo JP as the Coordinator.

The Council Chairman charged members to ensure they carry out their duties as expected, sensitise indigenes and residents of the LGA especially those living in the coastal communities of the LGA.

The Ughelli South LGA Coordinator, Fr Ekabo explained that there are 20 distribution centres across the LGA and members of the Committee will ensure the vulnerable population in every nooks and crannies are reached. 

Fr Ekabo praised the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori for augmenting the meagre resources sent by the Federal Government of Nigeria to the State and advised the people of Ughelli South LGA to cooperate with the Committee during the distribution of the palliative.

Ward Councillors, Community and religious leaders, NGOs, women and orphanage representatives were diligently selected into the 20 subcommittees across the 20 DESIEC wards in the LGA.

7. Hon Mrs. Victoria Jowah (V/cm USLG) - Co-opted Member

8. Mr. Jimmy Gordon Faka - Secretary

The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, HRM, Engr (Dr) Matthew Edirin Egbi (JP) and the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) and President of Union of Udu Communities, Mr. Austin Emaduku were in attendance.
