Isoko South PDP Elders Council Felicitates Gen. Omu At 83 ~ Truth Reporters






The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Isoko South Elders Council 
has congratulated it's Chairman, Maj. Gen. (Chief) Paul Ufuoma Omu (rtd) on his 83rd birth anniversary on July 1.

A statement signed by the Secretary of the Elders Council, Rev (Dr) Godwin Adolor, described Gen. Omu as a humble leader and a father figure to the Isoko nation.

Adolor recalled the many accomplishments of the retired military general, who served as Military Governor of South Eastern State (1975-1978), Commandant, Command and Staff College, Jaji and member of the Armed Forces Ruling Council.

"After retirement he was appointed Chairman Governing Board of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru - Jos who from 2009 to 2016.

"In all of these positions, Gen. Omu served with dignity and humility and brought honour and fame to the Isoko nation as a great administrator and elder statesman of repute.

"Because of his commitment to the growth and development of Isoko nation, he accepted the call to lead the apex organisation of the Isoko people the Isoko Development Union and later as Chairman of the Elders Council of the PDP in Isoko South.

"We have had the privilege of enjoying his astute leadership and drawn from his wealth of experience and on this day of his 83rd birth anniversary we congratulate him and pray for good health and many more fruitful years ahead of him," Adolor stated.
