DPM backs Okowa on judicious use of 13% derivation funds ~ Truth Reporters

Members and leadership of the Delta Political Movement has thrown their unflinching support behind the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Sen ( Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa on the appropriation of 13 percent 

derivation funds that accrued to the state during his time as Governor.

While briefing newsmen immediately after the group thanksgiving, in warri, the National Chairman of DPM, Hon (Chief) Philip U Otobo, said that the allegations of misappropriation of 50 percent accrued to the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) from the 13% derivation fund, were all campaign of aspersion. 

" We deduce the fabricated campaign as propaganda to puzzle, bewilder and incite the reading public against Dr. Okowa  

by naysayers. 

"These allegations are falsified and cooked-up stories by the protesters to delude the common  people thereby using them as supplement in fighting the immediate  past Governor.

DPM however describes the protesters and signers of the petition of the alledgedly misappropriation of the funds as "mudslingers and usurpers with the sole aim of extortion and blackmail." 

Furthermore, The Delta Political Movement( DPM) affirmed that the funds apportion for the development of the oil and gas bearing communities were judiciously used by the immediate past Governor,as his administration was fair in distribution of projects across the three senatorial districts in the state.

Other members who speaks after the group thanksgiving of the victory and the inauguration of his Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State and his Deputy, Sir Monday, were Hon Johnson E Ududi, Hon. Karo Goru commissioner Desopadec, Engr. Harrison Okoro, Engr.
