Cooperate with Oborevwori to advance Delta, Otunumeruke charges Deltans ~ Truth Reporters
Following the inauguration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Sir Monday Onyeme as Governor and Deputy Governor of Delta State, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Oyede, Isoko North Local Government, Chief Othuke Otunumeruke, the Adaise of Oyede kingdom, has charge Deltans to cooperate with the newly inaugurated Governor and his deputy in their task of building a new Delta.
Chief Othuke in his congratulatory message to Oborevwori, said with the support of Deltans, he is upbeat that Oborevwori would surpass the achievements of his predecessor.
He said there was a need to have the right leadership that would continue with the transformational legacy of the Okowa’s administration.
According to him; "Given your Legislative antecedents as one of the longest-serving Speaker in out State House of Assembly and the first Speaker to be an elected Governor of Delta State, you left no one in doubt that you were destined and pragmatically prepared for leadership.
"With the support of Deltans, I have no doubt that the Oborevwori administration will herald the dawn of a new era of economic prosperity, rapid infrastructural development and industrialisation, peaceful co-existence among the varying ethnic and religious groups across the state."
He urged the civil society community, religious leaders, traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders of the political process in the state to play their roles through constructive engagement, positive criticism and agenda setting in order to move the State forward.
He also urged the newly inaugurated Governor to jettison pride and be magnanimous in his leadership and governance to reciprocate the support of the people by justifying their choice at the poll through people-driven governance, accountability and accessibility by those who have invested their trust and confidence in him.
