Pomp as Isoko Mirror Editor, Ohoror, weds heartthrob in Warri ~ Truth Reporters

 

It was celebration galore on Saturday, April 1, 2023, when the Editor of Isoko Mirror newspaper, Kelvin Ohoror and his heartthrob, Stella tied the nuptial knot at Presbyterian church of Nigeria, Ugboroke-Warri parish.

The wedding attracted eminent personalities from all walks of life, including relatives of the couple.

While delivering the homily at the "wedding mass," Very Rev. Okocha David anchored his sermon on Genesis 2:18, "The LORD God said: It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suited to him."

Expatiating on the sermon, he spoke elaborately on the uniqueness of marriage; the challenges, unquantifiable joy and fulfillment couples derive from marriage. 

He pointedly said, “Marriage is a noble institution where couples undergo continuous learning and understanding of themselves but they will never be certificated because nobody graduates from the institution,” adding that marriage is a lifetime learning circle.

Continuing, Very Rev. Okocha charged the couple to consummate their marriage by building their union on trust and godly foundation, saying, “when trust dies in marriage, the union is merely existing.” 

He urged the couple to commit to the principles of submission, reverence, agreement, integrity, trust, and unfettered communication, saying they play indispensable role in building a successful marriage.

The wedding was spiced with soul elevating songs from the church choir, just as the couple’s scintillating dancing steps thrilled the crowd of well wishers in church.

Speaking to newsmen, one of the guests who is simply identified as Mr. West, described the wedding as an epoch-making occasion, saying, “The wedding is uniquely organised with elaborate showcase of glamour and tantalizing blend of the rich cultures of Isoko and Akwa Ibom people as evident in the attractive and organised manner the family members of the couple decked out in their finery.
