Linda Hope Initiative renders humanitarian aid to FCT communities ~ Truth Reporters
The Linda Hope Initiative has carried out a free community development service at Dakibiyu community in Abuja Municipal Area Council, Federal Capital Terrority (FCT).
Speaking at the event which took place recently, The Executive Director of the Initiative, Mrs Linda Turner expressed joy in fulfilling the vision and mission of the Initiative.
She said the vision was devoted to improving the socio economic condition of the poor and vulnerable particularly the elderly in the society adding that her strategy was to engage in activities that would uplift the less privileged through economic empowerment & community development.
One of the community leaders, Chief. Ishaku Shuaibu Represented by Prince Shuaibu welcomes the Linda Hope Initiative. Chief. Ishaku Shuaibu appreciated and prayed for Mrs Linda Turner and her team to the community and expressed hope that the Initiative would revisit their community continually.
In pursuit of achieving zero hunger in Nigeria, Linda Hope Initiative embarked on a programme titled "Operation feed the hungry daily for 365 days"
The Linda Hope Initiative provided food stuff and cash assistance to over four hundred residents of the community. Mrs Alikali Jlizba on behalf of the recipients thank the Initiative for their generosity and encouraged other initiatives to do likewise.
Food drives have been carried out daily to different communities in Federal Capital Terrority, among the communities are Orozo, Kuchingoro, Piwoyi, Galadimawa, Gwarimpa, Mpape, Kpaduma & Life Camp. Over one thousand two hundred women and children have benefited from the project.
Other team members of the Initiative were Blessing Momoh, Robert Eboigbe, Joseph Agbi, Humphrey Onojiede, Lois Patrick, Stephanie Okorie and Eunice Igbode.
