The Delta state governorship candidate of the NNPP, Sir Engr Dr Goodnews Agbi, has once again slammed the APC governorship candidate, DSP Ovie-Omo Agege, over his statement that he shut down the National Assembly to avoid President Muhammadu Buhari's impeachment.
In a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media to the Gubernatorial candidate and Deputy Director of Media and Publicity of the Delta State Campaign Council of the New Nigeria People's Party, Comr. Joseph Oghenekevwe Edegware:
"The action of the APC governorship candidate is a dent on the image of the good people of Delta State. He has succeeded in portraying Deltans as thugs who can be used to do the dirty and the ignoble and not noble people. This act should therefore be condemned by well-meaning individuals."
"Using thugs to steal the Mace, which is the symbol of authority of the Senate is inimical, and by disrupting the proceedings of that day, is nothing but an action perpetuated to satisfy personal interest."
"Delta State should not accept a gangster in the manner of a gubernatorial candidate’’
"The people of Delta and, indeed, Nigerians should be careful with the APC. Nigerians should not make the mistake of voting APC and their candidates across the state", Dr Agbi said.
