Okowa's CON award well deserved - UYLA

 

The Urhobo Youth Leaders' Association, UYLA has described the nomination of the Governor of Delta State and Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Sen (Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for a national award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari as meritorious and well deserved.

In a statement by the Association's Acting President, Olorogun (Amb) Samuel Oghotomo, JP and Secretary, Olorogun Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti said that the nomination of the Ekwueme of the Universe for the CON award is in recognition of his leadership ability, commitment to peace building in the Niger Delta and political strategy to successfully implement the SMART Agenda in Delta State for the past seven years.

UYLA enjoined the Urhobo youths to attend the award ceremony scheduled for October 11, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja by 9:00am.
