Izeze congratulates Oborevwori on Supreme court victory ~ Truth Reporters

 

... urges party faithful to unite ahead general elections

Member Representing Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Comrade Reuben Izeze has congratulated the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his affirmation by the Supreme Court as the duly nominated PDP Governorship Candidate in the state.

In a statement he personally signed and made available to Truth Reporters, Izeze congratulated both Olorogun David Edevbie and Rt.Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for the maturity displayed throughout the period of litigation describing it as a family affair.

He urged both leaders and party faithful in the state to close ranks and unite towards the 2023 general elections as a united front.

According to him, this is not the time to gloat or throw darts at one another because it takes all to win a general election unlike the few required to win in an intra-party primaries.

"Yesterday the Supreme Court finally brought to an end the dispute between two brothers in the intra party issue of who the GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE of the PDP in Delta State should be.

"For me, it was not a battle between foes but rather an argument between brothers of the same parent (just like that between the tongue and the teeth), therefore there is neither a victor nor a vanquished.

"I therefore call on all our Party members to show restraints in their conduct and comments on this matter going forward.

"We need all capable hands to be on deck as we approach the GENERAL ELECTIONS especially at a time like this when the opposition Parties are hoping to reap from their perception of a discord amongst us.

"I congratulate both Olorogun David Edevbie and Rt.Hon.Elder Sheriff Francis O. Oborevbwori for their display of maturity and restraint throughout the course of this argument and I appeal that they both close ranks now so that our Party can face the GENERAL ELECTIONS of 2023 as a united and strong political infantry.

"It is congratulations to ALL MEMBERS of the PDP FAMILY in Delta State, adding "For Delta State to be FULLY SHERRIFIED, we must be UNIFIED!!!" Izeze stated.
