...calls for political participation of Isoko in diaspora

By Ajiri-Oghene Joseph Oreh

The PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, Pastor (Engr.) Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko has emphasized the need for unity and tolerance amongst the Isoko people as the only way to meaningful and sustainable development.

Ukodhiko made the call during his speech at the interactive sessions of the 2022 Biennial Convention of the Isoko Association of North American held at New Jersey, United States last weekend.

He said, the Isoko people were known for their accommodating nature, and appealed to all sons and daughters to always eschew disunity, divisive politics, and promote unity and the values of the Isoko wherever they found themselves.

Commending IANA for its contributions towards the development of Isoko nation and support to the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration in Delta, Ukodhiko called on the Isoko people at the diaspora to be active political participants for the overall development of Isoko, Delta State and Nigeria at large.

“No doubt our nation is at the precipice and in dire strait of rescue. I must call on you all Isoko and Delta indigenes at the diaspora to support the PDP's rescue mission under the leadership of Atiku Abubakar, and his vice, our son and brother, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

“Both Atiku and Okowa deserve to be elected into the presidency because they have excellent records of performance, and they are collectively a symbol of national unity, of hope, of progress and of good governance in Nigeria who are irrevocably committed towards the mission to rescue, modernise and industrialize Nigeria”

“Yes, It is only with the PDP we can achieve our needed aspiration in terms of projects, programmes, and appointments and employment of our sons and daughters at the Federal level,” Engr Ukodhiko added.
