The coronation of Pa Omoefe Ozenikpe comes after the traditional selection process by the Umusu Rulling House and observance of all rites on the transition of the former Okpara-Uku, HRM Akpojotor Ekpo1 in March, 2022, in line with Orogun culture.

A release signed by Chief Barr. According to Chief Ndakara, “it is a thing of joy and gratitude to God that after several months of mourning the demise of our beloved Okpara-Uku, God, in His infinite mercy and wisdom has comforted us, in a peaceful transition with another one to ascend the revered throne of our great kingdom”.

Meanwhile, information reaching Truth Reporters from the President General of Umusu-Orogun Sub Clan, Chief Magistrate Enakpodia, indicates that the palace is wearing a new look with contributions from well-meaning chiefs and individuals of Umusu extraction. In his words, Mr Omoefe further averred that “my father, the in-coming Okpara-Uku, would bring to bear his rich reservoir of wisdom, leadership capacity and managerial acumen in steering the affairs of the Kingdom, with an eye on leaving a legacy of peace, prosperity and progress for our kingdom by the grace of God, but he cannot do this without the prayers and cooperation of all”.

Expected at the coronation ceremony include Traditional Rulers, the Okpara-Uku-In-Council, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege the President General-In-Council, the Orogun Council of Chiefs, top government functionaries, chiefs, captains of industry, the clergy, the media and a distinguished audience of men and women from all walks of life, the release further stated.
