Ezechi charges Beneku youths to stand firm for PDP ~ Truth Reporters
Youths of Beneku community, in Ndokwa East local government area of Delta state, have been urged to stand firm in their support for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The PDP candidate for the 2023 Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency House of Representatives election, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi, made the call when a delegation of Beneku Concerned Youths paid him a solidarity visit in Asaba.
Hon Ezechi said Beneku had been a stronghold of PDP, and not even the emergence of one of their sons as APC deputy governorship candidate would change that, as the party was poised to sustain its winning streak in the forthcoming election.
The House of Representatives candidate called on youths of the community not to succumb to threats or intimidation from any individual, saying that they should collectively work for PDP and all its candidates in the 2023 elections.
The former DESOPADEC Commissioner and immediate past Executive Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development told the Beneku Youths that the Okowa administration had executed some projects in the area, while a few others were ongoing, in addition to the various youth empowerment programmes designed to meaningfully engage the youths.
Hon Ezechi maintained that the 2023 election was a must win for the PDP, appealing to the youths to galvanize support for the Atiku/Okowa presidential ticket, the state governorship candidate Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and Sir Monday Onyeme, the Delta North senatorial candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, himself, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi and the Ndokwa East House of Assembly candidate, Prince Emeka Osamuta.
He assured the youths that their lives would not remain the same beyond 2023, as he would take his benevolence and grassroots reach out to the next level if elected to the House of Representatives, while having the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as Vice President would be the best thing that would happen to the state.
The PDP House of Reps candidate enjoined the Beneku Concerned Youths to remain united and focused on achieving the set objectives of the group, adding that the members must remain peaceful and law abiding in their conducts and activities.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Azubuike Ojonoku, said the visit was to congratulate Hon Ezechi on his victory in the House of Representatives primary election.
Comrade Ojonoku assured Hon Ezechi of the support of the group for him and other PDP candidates, from the presidential to the House of Assembly elections.
