Delta Connect Global partners INEC on voter registration ~ Truth Reporters








Delta Connect Global, in partnership with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has carried out voters registration exercise in Warri South, Warri South-west, and Uvwie Local Government council areas of the state. 


This excercise which aligns with the group's core objective, was done to assist citizens who have been finding it difficult to register.


Earlier yesterday, residents where seen trooping in to be registered, while others had their previously registered voters cared transfered to the nearest polling unit to them.


Speaking to journalists, the National Cordinator of Delta Connect Global, Pastor Vincent Udume Odogbor said that nobody of voting age should be disenfranchised, hence the group made the call to facilitate the process across the three local government areas. 


Delta Connect Global, a multi ethnic, religious, political and corporate entity, is funded by her members who share in the visionary direction of the group, to ensure increased voter participation in the upcoming general elections.


Pastor Odogbor, urges Deltans and Nigerians in general to ensure that they register and be sure that their polling unit is within walkable distance to their places of residence to ensure that they are able to vote in the general elections in February/March 2023.


He stated that the group, will sensitize more people across the state to shun vote buying, election sabotage as well as show all political jobbers and bad leaders the exit door through the ballot.


"Enough of the mediocrity and poor dividends of democracy to the people. We will ensure that the people own the process this time around.


"We will no longer leave governance to chance, we will be more involved in all the stages," he stated. 


The group Chief Administrator, Hon keyness Orhodje Oromoni, who is from Warri South West was elated that alot of people from the riverine area have taken advantage of the exercise.


Hon. Keyness says this development is good for our growing democracy, "the more people are involved in the electioneering process, the better the society. 


"Deltans are therefore encourage to vote right, for the most competent, accessible and ready to work candidates,"
