Work for the victory of PDP candidates, Egwunyenga urges Delta youths ~ Truth Reporters







Delta State Commissioner for Youths Development, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga has called on youths in the state to work towards the victory of all PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections. 


Egwunyenga particularly urged the youths to ensure massive victory for the party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar who graciously picked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate. 


Egwunyenga who stated this on Thursday when he played host to MORE for Delta Youths Project at his office in Asaba, said a victory for Atiku and Okowa at the Federal and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori at the state would ensure more empowerment programmes for the people. 


The commissioner while addressing the group commended the DG Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr for standing firm by his father. 


He urged the team to propagate the agenda of the Peoples Democratic Party which is the vehicle to which Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori will emerge victorious in the 2023 polls. 


He stressed that the youths must brand and market the PDP and all it's candidates across the nation so as to change the governance narrative in the nation. 


He went further to buttress the need for the team to engage in voters registration which is the power to win any election even as he urged the team to work hard for the victory of the party. 


"There is need to work harder to ensure that youths across the nation have their PVCs and cue behind the PDP. 


"Na youth wey sabi dey get PVC, Na youth wey sabi dey support Sheriff, na youth wey sabi dey support Atiku, na youth wey sabi go win election and na youth wey sabi go enjoy democratic dividends," he added. 


The commissioner who also affirmed his support to the group to achieve it's mandate as they gear up for their inauguration, added that youths should shun negative advertising. 


Earlier, leader of the delegation and Deputy Director General of the group, Amb. Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole Enarise, who represented the Director General Comr Fred Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr said that the group who's membership cuts across the 25 local government areas of Delta State saw the need to engage with the Commissioner for youths who is the number one youth in the state to get endorsement and directions that will enable the group achieve success. 


The Deputy DG emphasized the commitment of the Sheriff Jnr on his willingness to use the platform to engage youths and bridge social strata gap in the society.
