VP Slot: Vote PDP to justify Okowa’s choice, Funkekeme urges Deltans ~ Truth Reporters

The Senior Political Adviser (SPOLAD) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon has appealed to Deltans to unite behind Okowa in assisting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to victory in the 2023 polls.

He said Deltans should put aside party sentiments, every other thing and be a Deltan first and know that a Deltan will be Vice President come 2023.

Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon made the appeal recently in an exclusive interview monitored in Asaba the State capital.

The SPOLAD said "It is more in the interest of Deltans really to forget about any grievances they have and unite to give PDP total victory so that Okowa's selection will be justified adding that it will be wrong for his own State not to deliver hundred percent."

He said that if Okowa is the Vice President, a lot if attention will be paid to Delta State in the course of developing the country.

According to the SPOLAD, "The county has never been as divided as it is today, so you need a unifier to assist the president in reviving the country" continuing "And that's why I'm elated and grateful to God and also grateful to the leadership of the party who thought it wise to actually pick Senator Dr Okowa as the vice presidential candidate."

Describing his principal, Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon said one of the attributes of Dr Okowa is his calmness in the amidst of a storm; "he is very calculative, dependable and a strategist who has the interest of serving the people."

The SPOLAD said that Governor Okowa is not an accidental leader but he is a  prepared and secured leader that is able to take decisions for the interest of the society.

Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon said Dr Okowa brought his organizational savvy to play when in 2018 he conducted the most credible, dependable special presidential convention that held in Port Harcourt where Atiku emerged the presidential candidate.

"Dr Okowa needs to be rewarded by PDP to have saved the party from the Clift during the Amadu Sheriff and Makarfi imbroglio, the party turned to Dr Okowa to intervene when he conducted the special convention that made the party stronger and more united."

Governor Okowa is knowledgeable, he is intelligent to the extent that he manages Delta State from the point of knowledge.

 Having served as a council chairman, civil commissioner, secretary to the state government and senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he has brought all these experiences to bear in the governance of the State and the result is that there's dependability as people now trust Government because he has put service first before others.

Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon concluded that Nigeria needs a person that can be dependable, with a character like Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to assist the president to revive the country from where it us now.
