Ezechi preaches peace, love among Ndokwa youths ~ Truth Reporters








A monthly meeting of the umbrella body of Ndokwa youths, Ikolobie Ndokwa, has ended in Ogume, Ndokwa West Local Governnent Area of Delta state, with a call on youths of Ndokwa land to uphold the peaceful disposition which has endeared them to the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa.



Executive Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the group, Honourable Nnamdi Ezechi, who made the call in his remarks at the meeting held at the residence of Comrade Silvoh Obi, noted that youths of Ndokwa nation had, on different occasions, been identified in government circle as the most peaceful in the state.



He recalled that only last week, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa approved five Special Assistant slots for the youths, in addition to the numerous appointments, policies and programmes from which Ndokwa youths had benefitted, stressing that Ndokwa youths had never had it so good in the past. 



The BoT Chairman reminded the youths that a sensitization tour of all the wards in Ndokwa land would soon commence, ahead of the 2023 general election and urged them to make themselves available for the exercise aimed at creating the necessary awareness about the election, including the need for every eligible indigene of Ndokwa nation to register and obtain the Permanent Voter's Card (PVC).



Ezechi noted that Ndokwa youths had always been instrumental to hitch-free and non violent elections in the three local government areas of Ndokwa land and the case should not be different in 2023.



He urged the youths to sustain their support for the Okowa administration to enable it finish strong, assuring them of better days ahead of the end of tenure of the present administration.



Earlier, the President General of Ikolobie Ndokwa, Comrade Anslem Nzete, said the meeting was to take stock of the activities of the group, identify areas of focus and map out strategies for the actualization of set goals.



Comrade Nzete thanked the BoT Chairman, Honourable Nnamdi Ezechi, for relentlessly adding value to the lives of Ndokwa youths and pledged the group's unwavering support for him and the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa.



In another development, a prominent community leader and PDP stalwart in Ndokwa land, Admiral Mike Ojinika Onah (retd), has urged Ikolobie Ndokwa to continue to uphold the ideals that have made it the most progressive youth body in the Ndokwa nation.



Admiral Onah, in his remarks during an unscheduled visit to him at Utagba-Uno by the leadership of Ikolobie Ndokwa, noted that the group had united youths across the three local government areas of Ndokwa land, making them role models of Delta youths.
