2023: Akpodiete Olotu declares for House of Reps ~ Truth Reporters








Dr. Akpodiete Olotu, a renowned scholar, philanthropist, and empowerment supremo cum politician with an enviable profile, formally declares his intention to join the contest in the coming 2023 General Elections.

In a consultative visit to Ughelli PDP Ward 2/6 on the 27th, March 2023, Dr. Akpodiete Olotu declared his intention to contest the position of House Representatives to represent the good people of Ughelli South, Ughelli North, and UDU federal constituency come 2023.

In his expression speech, Dr. Akpodiete described his intentions as that motivated by his dire desire to contribute his quota politically to his immediate federal constituency...

“As a son of the soil and as one who has the burning desire to always contribute my quota to the society, having done a self-assessment and has met the requirements laid down by the electoral acts and thus qualified, coupled with wild consultation among party leaders, declares my intention to contest as a Representative to represent the good people of Ughelli South, Ughelli North, and UDU Federal Constituency

As the general elections bell rings louder and effectively, my intention is born out of my desire to give back to the Society which I have done over the years through philanthropic activities, hence my pursuit for another platform cum political platform to redefine what representation entails and ensure that my immediate constituency enjoys the dividend of democracy come 2023 and beyond. In line with the above, I hereby present myself humbly to Ughelli PDP ward 2/6 my immediate ward for prayers and support”

Responsively, the Ward Chairman; Mr. Ejovwoke Emegere expressed delight stating that having gone through his profile he is satisfied and it’s safe to say that Dr. Akpodiete Olotu is qualified for such responsibility and it’s indeed a good deed to have a qualified person from his ward that has expressed his desire to represent the good people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and UDU Fed. Constituency.

He added that Dr. Akpodiete should continue with his consultation to the three LGA’s that make up the federal constituency and always come back to give the house feedback and the house would not be tired of giving advice and the needed support to help him through the process.

In prayers, elders and party faithful wish Dr. Akpodiete well as he continues his consultation stating that the Ward is with him in prayers.
