TNNTV honours Asasa as LGA Chairman of the year ~ Truth Reporters







The Chairman of Isoko South Local Government, Hon. Victor Asasa has been decorated as Best Local Government Chairman of the year 2021, by The New Nigeria Television Channels (TNNTV) Abuja. 


Speaking at the presentation of the award at Harlescourt Hotel, Asaba at the weekend, Chairman/CEO of The New Nigeria Television Channels, Comrade Seun Akinde, said Asasa was chosen sequel to his positive contributions towards the growth and development of Isoko South in particular and Delta State in general. 


He disclosed that the nomination of Hon. Asasa and subsequent winning of the award was in recognition of his modest performances since he assumed office as Chairman of Isoko South Local Government. 


Akinde further said the Advisory Board of TNNTV after a thorough deliberation and consideration of Asasa's nomination approved that the Isoko South Council Chairman be bestowed with the National Leadership Meritorious Award of Excellent Performance as the Best Local Government Council Chairman of the year 2021. 


"In the course of our work of balanced reportage, we have come across baby people that are shining examples by going beyond the call of duty in their field of endeavour and Hon. Victor Asasa falls into that category and deserved to be recognised, decorated and appreciated accordingly. 


"We honour you today as Best Local Government Chairman of the year 2021 in recognition and appreciation of your sincerity and selfless service to humanity which has promoted good governance in Isoko South Local Government, Delta State and Nigeria in at large," Akinde added. 


Responding, Asasa thanked God and the organisers for the recognition while dedicating the award to the good people of Isoko South Local Government who voted for him. 


Represented by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr Nelson Egware, the Isoko South Council boss said he was full of appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his support to the third tier of government. 





"I give glory to God for this opportunity and I thank the organizers for this award as I dedicate it to the good people of Isoko South Local Government for giving me the opportunity to serve them. 


"I want to assure them that by the grace of God we will continue to deliver on our campaign promises of bringing democratic dividends to the grassroot. 


"As a Council, we will continue to do our best to be prudent in managing the available resources of the Council to provide them with dividends of democracy as encapsulated in the Stronger Delta Agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa."
