Adewuyi fetes Emevor monarch on birth anniversary ~ Truth Reporters

 





The Odion (regent) of Emevor kingdom, HRH Dr Johnholt Ologho whose birthday was marked a few days was go, was yesterday, hosted to a lavished dinner party by an illustrious daughter and the immediate past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN, Mrs Joy Onome Adewuyi.


The party which was held at the Emevor country home of the accounting guru and was well attended by dignitaries in both public and private sector with Dr Barr Paul Oweh, DESOPADEC commissioner representing Isoko nation as chairman.


In his opening remarks, the commissioner applauded Mrs Adewuyi for the kind gesture, even as he congratulated and wished His Royal Highness long life in good health as well as a peaceful reign on the throne.


"Let me first and foremost appreciate our sister, Mrs Adewuyi for putting up this event. It is quite laudable to celebrate our Odion in such an honourable grandiose way. Let me tell you that you have set a new standard and we are proud of it."


"Your Highness, let me join my sister to celebrate you and wish you the very best of life. I pray for good health, longevity and a peaceful reign that will witness greater development for the kingdom", he said.


He further called for a peaceful celebration and general merriment.


Speaking, the organizer of the event, Dame Mrs Adewuyi, said it was a great privilege and honour to her not just to have come from Emevor, but to have such a man as Dr Johnholt Ologho as the Odion of Emevor. As the Odion, he has shown so much commitment and good will to the people, home and in diaspora.


She said the party was put together by herself and siblings to honour and appreciate HRH, Dr Johnholt Ologho.


In his note of thanks, HRH Dr Johnholt Ologho exoressed his profound gratitude to Mrs Adewuyi and her family for the honour done not just to him but to the entire Emevor kingdom. He offered prayers to the family, those present and peace for the land.


The high point of the ceremony, was the presentation if various souvenirs to the Odion.
