Howard-Taylor to be honoured at Africa Advancement Forum ~ Truth Reporters

 

The Africa Advancement Forum, AAF is to honour Liberia's Vice President, Jewel Howard-Taylor with the award of "powerful women leveraging on their network to transform Africa".

Howard-Taylor is will be bestowed with the award at a ceremony scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre, Accra, Ghana on August 20.

Liberia's Vice President is being honoured for her outstanding accomplishments and contributions to women development and gender issues.

A respected lawyer and gender expert, Howard-Taylor, was a Senator representing the Bong County with a resounding mandate from the people to represent their interests, hopes and aspirations; and was first elected as Senator in 2005 and re-elected in 2014.

Howard-Taylor has been a recipient of many accolades, Laurels and Awards from Local, National and International Organizations, ranging from humanitarian awards to outstanding Leadership awards. 

Chiefly amongst many of them are: Women Activist Award, (2016) for her role in gender advocacy and empowerment, and Liberia's highest honor as Knight Great Dame, Order of the Most Venerable Order of the Pioneers in 2005.
