Delta at 30: Iteire calls for reaffirmation of peace, unity ~ Truth Reporters

Isoko-North Council Chairman, Hon Christian Othuke Iteire has felicitated with Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the existence of the State.

Also rejoicing with the people of the State on the auspicious occasion, Iteire in a message of felicitation on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Ozoro through his Chief Press Secretary, Ajiri-Oghene Oreh, said that, "Delta State remains first among equals in the comity of States in the nation, Nigeria, owing to the phenomenal and landmark achievements recorded in the areas of infrastructure, education, sports, arts and culture, health, transportation, agriculture, human capital developments amongst others"

Accrediting the sweet success story of Delta State to the untiring efforts of the founding fathers, who laid its solid foundation, the Isoko North Local Government Council chairman commended Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa for the developmental strides been witnessed in the State, and urged the State Government to continue to strive harder in deepening the legacies inherited from past leaders of the State

The Isoko North Council Chairman further urged Senator Okowa as Governor of Delta State to "continue to be fair, just, inclusive, equitable, and always adhere to the rule of Law in his administration's decision and approach to Governance"

Appreciating the people of Delta State for their accommodating nature, their patience, their efforts and sacrifices to state building, Iteire appealed to the people of the State to be more supportive by joining hands with the Delta State Government in contributing to the developmental agenda of the State.

Envisaging and envisioning a greater Delta State, prosperous and safer, the Isoko North Council Chairman called on the people of the State to reaffirm their commitment to the ideas of unity and peace, by efficiently and effectively managing differences and promoting good neighborliness with fellow Deltans and Non Deltans.

Hon Iteire added that, "a state where tribes and tongues may differ but stands in brotherhood is where unity in our diversity thrives".
