NIGER DELTA YOUTH LEADERS THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND PRINCE NED NWOKO MALARIA ERADICATION PROJECT.


 

..Urges FG to partner project.

Youth leaders and stakeholders of the Niger Delta region has thrown full weight behind the Prince Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project, describing it as Africa's best gift of the century.


In a press statement jointly signed by youth leaders and stakeholders of Ijaw, Urhobo, Ndokwa, Itsekiri and Isoko extractions under the aegis of the G5 ethnic nationalities council, the group lauded the sacrifices made so far by Prince Ned Nwoko, hailing him as Niger Delta's most outstanding patriot of the decade.


The youth leaders whom are head of their respective ethnic nationality, stated that as part of their agitations following the #EndSARS protest, federal government full support for the Malaria Eradication Project was part of the 17 points demands made.


"As foremost youth leaders and stakeholders from the region of our leader and shining light, Prince Ned Nwoko, we have watched in awe the vigour at which he has gone about executing the malaria eradication project".


"We feel inspired and proud that our fellow Niger Deltan is the one at the fore championing the cause for a malaria free Africa, something we never expected to happen in our lifetime".


"Having seen first hand, the huge sacrifices Prince Ned Nwoko has made so far, both financially, physically and otherwise, we thought it needful for us to come on board and partner this laudable project, we have chosen to no longer watch from the sideline".


"Our duty amongst other things will be to put pressure on the federal government to support and show serious commitment to the actualization of the project and to also spread the message to the grassroots".


"We have never been more proud at any time to be called Niger Deltans than now, all thanks to Prince Ned Nwoko".


"We urge all youths of the Niger Delta region to get ready to sign up and become part of this voluntary but very important task, as for this project to succeed, all hands must be on deck, so all our of us youths of Niger Delta must becomes ambassadors of the Malaria Eradication campaigns", the statement read.
