NDOKWA YOUTHS SET TO CELEBRATE THE FRIDAY OSANEBI DAY.
Kwale: Plans have been concluded by the leadership of ndokwa national youth movement, NNYM world wide to celebrate the Friday Osanebi day which holds annually on the 7th of October.
The Friday Osanebi day referred to also as the the Ndokwa Youth Day is a day set aside to recognise the huge impart and contributions of Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, pioneer president of NNYM.
In a statement made available to news men, NNYM secretary general, Idi Presley stated that this year's celebration will be iconic for besides the massive birthday celebrations slated for 7th October, there will be a youth stakeholder's conference to review critical issues affecting Ndokwa Nation with a communique and blueprint for immediate and future engagements expected at the end of the conference.
Speaking further, Idi Presley faulted the continuous practice of honouring heroes only after their demise, adding that for all Friday Osanebi has done for youths of Ndokwa Nation, they are duty bound to celebrate and honour him while he yet lives, the very reason October 7 of every year was chosen and declared as the Friday Osanebi day.
Presley added that aside, the birthday celebrations and stakeholder's conference, a novelty match, panel discussions and radio talk shows has also be scheduled as part of activities lined up to mark the epoch event, with the unveiling of the Friday Osanebi leadership centre (FOLC) highlight of the two days event.
