Egbabor salute Isoko North people at 29th anniversary ~ Truth Reporters

As the people of Isoko North join their counterparts to celebrate their 29th anniversary of its creation, the Chairman Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. (Elder) Emmanuel Egbabor has congratulated the people of the area for their commitment to the growth and development of the Council in the past 29 years.

Egbabor in a statement on Friday said the people have every reason to celebrate the 29th anniversary as they are better off than they were 29 years ago.

He called on the people to continue supporting government and their various community leaderships to ensure peace and progress in their places.

"My good people of Isoko North Local Government Area, on Tuesday, August 27th, 1991, our great local government was created from the Isoko Local Government.

"Since then, we have made steady and appreciable progress and remained united in our quest to develop our local government and communities.

"As we celebrate the goodness of God in the last 29 years, it is imperative to state that our people have continually excelled in their various fields of endeavour and for this, we have every reason to be proud of how far we have come in the past 29 years.

"Through the resilience and commitment of our industrious people, our leaders and the many men and women out there, we have gone the extra miles in our various endeavours to ensure that Isoko North Local Government Area is better than we met it.

"We salute our founding fathers of this Local Government and all those great men and women out there, who continue to devote their energies and resources to change Isoko North for good. Some of these men and women, especially the past Council chairmen and Sole Administrators are hereby commended for devoting their various talents to the development of Isoko North, and for projecting our Local Government in positive light.

"As a government of Isoko North, today’s celebration is very special and memorable because, it will be the last i will be celebrating as Council Chairman.

"As we reflect on the significance of #IsokoNorthAt29, I urge us all to remain committed to our collective dreams of building a virile and stronger local government for the good and benefit of our communities."
