COVID-19: Delta records 166 new cases as total hits 1,131 ~ Truth Reporters

Delta on Wednesday recorded a total of 166 new cases of COVID-19 as total confirmed infections in the state cross the 1,000 mark.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, Delta topped yesterday's daily confirmed cases as a result of the combination of two days report.

With the 1131 total, Delta has leapfrogged Rivers State into 6th most infected state after Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Kano and Edo.

Just yesterday the State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa announced that he has tested positive to the virus alongside his wife Dame Edith Okowa.

He however said they were fine and has commenced treatment.
